Black Pearl is a sweet girl who enjoys lots of play. has a super fun and playful side once she feels secure. She loves to play and run, but if you pick her up and cradle her like a baby, she will sit with you for as long as you desire (especially if you gently rub her belly or face). She enjoys a good TV show too!
Black Pearl comes to green us when we come into the room and enjoys our company. Expect her to be reserved when she gets to her new family, and to warm up to you pretty quickly. She is quite mellow with humans and active with other cats! She is active when on her own and very mellow when picked up!
She is very beautiful with a lovely black coat and stunning golden eyes.
She participates in all the zoomies with her litter mates Snowflake Obsidian and Melanite but is usually the first to tire after a long play. Kittens do really well when adopted with another kitten their age. Two kittens play together and tire each other out, are fun to watch, and most importantly, the teach each other manners. We always recommend kittens be adopted in pairs or with a young active cat in the family.
Her favorite treat is greenies and she loves little mice toys and balls. When not playing or zooming or snuggling, you can find her snoozing on a pillow. She enjoys playing in the cat tunnel, and “loafing” on a soft spot.
Black Pearl was born on or near July 19, 2023. She has been spayed, microchipped, and given age-appropriate vaccines. She tested negative (good) for FeLV and FIV. Her foster family has zero litterbox concerns. She is ready to go to her Forever Family!
Black Pearl and her wonderful sisters Snowflake Obsidian and Melanite were 9 weeks or so when we received them (SPIF babies).
She would do well with a family that would actively play with her but also give her cuddles and watch tv with her. She would probably enjoy older kids that would play gently with her (only because very young kids may startle her or play rougher and I think that may scare her) or an adult that would give her lots of attention. She’d be happy with a fur sibling but if the humans were interactive enough, she’d also be ok without.
