Hi my name is Meswak, Mezzie for short. The scar on my eye might be the first thing you notice about me from a distance but it doesn’t slow me down! I love attention from people and other cats. I probably won’t climb in your lap for a while but I will sure follow you around the house to keep you company. I don’t mind big dogs as long as they don’t chase me. I’m almost year old and have been neutered.

Meswak is a sweet, affectionate, and friendly guy. And so handsome! He comes dressed for success in his gray tuxedo.
I have a brother named Nose which you can see in the picture below. I help my brother be brave, so if we could go to the same family it would be awesome!
Meswak
We estimate Meswak was born in late May or early June 2023. He has been neutered, microchipped, and given age-appropriate vaccines. He tested negative (good) for FeLV and FIV. Meswak does have a permanent scar on his left eye, but it doesn’t slow him down and we haven’t noticed any impact on his vision. He has chronic sinusitis–he sniffles.
Meswak and his brother lived outside before rescue. Their advocate worked with the brothers as much as she could when they were young kittens. Their Foster Family has furthered their housecat training. Nose is still a bit timid, but we usually see that cats like Nose blossom when they go to families who have a bit of patience with them, and Nose would have the support of his brother.
Meswak enjoys the company of other kitties and would prosper in a multi-cat household. It would be great if he was adopted with his brother Nose, as they are buddies.
