Matthew and Gunnar Nelson will rock your world with their sassy and fun-loving antics
Like the famous Rockstar duo they’re named for, there’s nothing on earth that should keep these feline Nelson brothers apart. Mathew and Gunnar Nelson are tightly bonded and need to be adopted together. While not technically twins like the original Nelson brothers, the feline Nelson brothers sure do look a lot alike.
While they’re visually similar, they do have very distinct personalities. Gunnar is the bolder of the two and was the first to warm up to his foster family by coming out for pats, climbing the cat tower, playing with toys, and nabbing himself some quality lap time cuddles. Mathew is the more cautious brother. He sizes things up, makes friends more slowly but is first in line for pats once he gets to know you. (He is always first in line at the food bowl!) Gunnar is anxious when meeting new people but will put himself out there. Mathew will hide from people he doesn’t’ trust but he’s very protective of his brother. Their foster Mom describes them as:
“…sassy and funny and want a human who will let them take their time to learn to be friends. Once they trust you, they will return your love by coming to you for pats and purring up a storm.”

Matthew and Gunnar were rescued by The Feline Connection in early April. They are approximately a year old. Both have been neutered, microchipped, and have their age-appropriate vaccinations. They tested negative (good) for FeLV and FIV.
Gunnar and Mathew are looking for a quiet home without small children or dogs to help them learn to trust again. If you’re seeking two playful cats who will reward your patience and affection with lots of pats and purrs, please submit an adoption application below!
