A super sweet, friendly, and affectionate guy who just wants a family again! He’s a hunk too.
Ridge is a laid-back, muscular hunk of love’in. Purring doesn’t quit. Very comfortable and gentle in new situations. He was just sprawled out on the Medical Director’s counter (photos above and below) upon arrival. Food motivated. Very quiet and companionable. Handsome!!!!
Ridge comes from the Weather cats area. Most of the adult Weather cats in that area Feral, but Ridge is not at all. The neighbors report he was left behind a few years ago when his people moved out and he was fed at several different houses. We swooped him up right away!
We estimate Ridge is about six years old, based on condition and the neighbor’s reports of how long he has been around. It is hard to tell. He has been neutered, microchipped and given age-appropriate vaccinations. He tested negative (good) for FeLV but tested positive for FIV. The best practices have changed in recent years, and this condition is no longer considered unadoptable and can even now be mixed with compatible cats in certain situations. Please speak with your vet about adopting an FIV+ cat.
