Siskin’s Handsome and rugged looks are all for show! He is a loving, affectionate senior lapcat with some special needs.

Siskin – Senior Male: early May, 2022

Siskin is a very friendly senior male. He is loving, affectionate, and a lap cat. He gets along great with his companion Friar Lawrence. This mellow guy takes everything in stride.

Siskin – Rescue Day looking a bit rough: early April 2022

Siskin has FIV, so he needs to be an only cat or be with another FIV cat. Our very rough estimate of his birth year is 2013. We don’t know much about his back story. He showed up this year at a feeding station, and a few weeks later showed up with an injured back leg, so we picked him up right away.

As stated above, he did test positive for FIV, but negative for FeLV. He has been neutered and given age-appropriate vaccines. He has also been microchipped. He will need life-long anti-virals and long-term antibiotics. He had a bad URI (Upper Respiratory Infection) when we rescued him that may be chronic. It is very common for rescued cats to have URIs.
