Cuddly, affectionate and playful Smokey will quickly warm his way into your heart and soul.

Smokey: Adult Male – March 1, 2020

Smokey is very welcoming and friendly! He will meet you at the door every day looking for love and affection. He has a sweet and beautiful face with a rumbling purr like a car engine! This boy is a lovebug!

Smokey has been with The Feline Connection a number of months now. He has filled out, polished up his coat, is completely healthy and confirmed his place as a wonderful, loving pet. He is very affectionate and loves loves loves to play!

Smokey and Salem lost their home when the house became uninhabitable, and some tenants put them outside and left. The landlord threatened harm to them, and a compassionate neighbor made herself their advocate and reached out to us.

He was in mixed condition upon rescue. While fully friendly and clearly not physically abused, he is thin, he had fleas (treated, of course), flea dermatitis (allergic reaction to fleas) and was malnourished. You can see from the pictures that his coat affected by both malnourishment and the flea dermatitis, leading to hair loss. Without fleas, his coat will thicken up and become shiny and healthy again.

Salem: October 22, 2019 – Rescue Day! – Calm at the vet! Such a good boy!
Smokey and Salem: October 22, 2019 – Rescue Day at the vet together.

Smokey is FeLV, FIV, and Heartworm negative (good). He has FCRCP#2 and 1 yr Rabies vaccines. He has been treated for fleas and ear mites. He will have a microchip at adoption.
