Friendly, soft, affectionate, and stunning lap cat
Terabithia is a stunning medium-to-long-haired calico cat with a captivating mix of orange, gray tabby, and white fur that is incredibly soft to the touch. This mellow girl enjoys the simple pleasures in life, with sleeping being her absolute favorite activity, often found curled up in her cozy cat bed or on a soft blanket. While she appreciates gentle petting and will even reward you with a delightful belly roll and the occasional lap snuggle, she has her independent moments and isn’t always a fan of being picked up and held.
Though initially shy, Terabithia has blossomed into a socialized and friendly companion. She’ll often show her affection by rubbing against your legs, especially when she knows mealtime is approaching! Her curious nature keeps her engaged with her surroundings, always ready to explore from a safe distance. When it comes to treats, she can’t resist Delectables! And good news for her future human – she tolerates brushing quite well! While her favorite pastime is snoozing, a little playtime might pique her interest if the mood strikes.
Having come to us as a stray, Terabithia carries a certain mystical charm, hence her name. While she’s been a good girl during brushing sessions, she definitely prefers not being confined to a cage – a sentiment we can all understand! Unfortunately, we don’t yet know how Terabithia feels about other feline companions.
Dream Home/Family: Ideally, Terabithia would thrive in a calm and quiet home, perhaps without young children. Due to her unknown history with other cats, a home where she can be the solo queen might be the most comfortable transition for her. While her history with dogs is also unknown, a peaceful environment where she can receive plenty of attention and lap time would likely be her purr-fect match.
Basics
- DOB: Spring 2021–approximate estimate
- Health: Spayed (we found a spay scar), Microchipped, and given age-appropriate vaccines. She tested negative (good) for FeLV and FIV.
- Coat: Domestic Medium-hair calico with white, orange, and grey. Beautiful green-yellow eyes
- Ideal Family: We don’t have a lot of information on this, but we suspect her best home might be one without young children or other pets, although it’s unknown if she likes dogs.
