Nemo: The Most Independent Cuddly Fish You’ll Ever Meet (Except He’s a Cat)

Nemo – Adult Male: April 2024

Attention Finding Nemo fans! This ain’t your average goldfish. Nemo here is a full-grown, fire-engine orange tabby with a personality that’s more “Just keep swimming!” and less “don’t touch the butt!”

Here’s the scoop on this feisty feline:

  • Independent as a tuna: Nemo’s his own cat. He craves attention but on his terms. Think of him as a celebrity who only gives autographs on Tuesdays.
  • Beware the love nips: This reformed “handsy” kitty still gets a little too enthusiastic when playtime gets too exciting. Think of it as his way of saying, “ENOUGH with the laser pointer, human! Time for cuddles!” (Just not the grabby kind…yet)
  • Master of the midnight zoomies: This tabby tornado loves to chase anything that rolls (balls are his jam!), and his favorite obstacle course? Your legs. Tread carefully, especially if you’re a night owl.
  • Purrfect for the right family: Nemo would do best in a home with adults and older kids who can respect his boundaries and someone who appreciates a chatty companion (because this talkative tabby has a lot to say!)
  • Would enjoy swimming in a school: Nemo seems friendly with the other cats at his foster home, but he can only live with other FeLV+ cats. We suspect he and Prince Humperdinck would get along great!
  • Bonus: This Feline FeLV+ fellow is already neutered, microchipped, and has age-appropriate shots. Just keep in mind, he needs a special home that can handle his medical needs. He tested negative for FIV.

Special note: Prince has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). This means he needs a special home environment to keep him healthy and happy.

Here’s what you need to know about FeLV:

  • It’s a virus that weakens a cat’s immune system, making them more susceptible to other illnesses.
  • It is NOT contagious to humans or other animals besides cats.
  • FeLV+ cats can live long and happy lives with proper care, including regular veterinary checkups, a nutritious diet, and a stress-free environment.

So, are you ready to find your own Nemo? This orange tabby may not be swimming with sharks, but he’ll definitely keep your life interesting (and maybe a little chewed up)! Interested in adopting Nemo–great!–please fill out an Adoption Application below and put his name on top!
